Wesleyan College senior Belle Thomas has been named to the Great South Athletic Conference All-Conference Team. The senior outfielder was the only Pioneer named to the team.
The Rydal, Ga. native wrapped up the regular season with a .426 batting average, accumulating 33 hits and scoring 18 runs over the course of 28 games. Thomas struck out only three times in 77 at-bats, while drawing four walks.
Defensively, Thomas played center field to near perfection, committing only two errors all seasons.
Thomas along with teammates Kayla Lumley and Dena Phillips were also recognized as members of the conference's All-Academic team. These three ladies have maintained an overall grade point average of 3.25 or higher over the course of their collegiate career.
In addition, freshman DiAsia Rodgers earned Wesleyan's Sportsmanship Award from the conference.
