Thomas's Four Hits Pace Wesleyan in Loss to Rhodes College

Wesleyan's Belle Thomas picked up four hits and scored two runs in the Pioneers doubleheader loss to Rhodes College on Sunday afternoon.  With her performance today, Thomas's batting average moved to .373 and she leads the Pioneers in nearly every offensive category.

In the first game of the day, the Pioneers picked up five hits but had trouble moving runs across the plate in a 17-2 loss.  Thomas, Kayla Lumley, Ashley Jackson, DiAsia Rodgers and Verenice Gonzalez all put the ball in play.

Paced by Sara Bowen's 3-for-3, 5 RBI offensive performance, Rhodes took game two by a score of 15-1.  Thomas once again led the way for the Pionners, hitting three singles and scoring Wesleyan's only run of the game.

The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Atlanta to play Spelman College.  They return to Wesleyan on Saturday for a doubleheader against Maryville College beginning at 2:00pm.
