MACON, Ga. - Wesleyan College saw their two-game winning streak snapped by a hot shooting Spelman College 67-54 in Great South Athletic Conference action at Porter Gym.

Defense fueled the Pioneers' win streak, but the Jaguars found an answer, shooting over 44% from the floor for the game. Wesleyan led by as many as seven points in the first half before Spelman (3-10, 2-6 GSAC) finished the half strong to carry a four-point advantage into the intermission.
Wesleyan (2-9, 2-8 GSAC) closed to within two points on Erinn Williams' jumper mid-way through the second half, but could not capture the lead.
Spelman's Andrea Kinzer finished with a game-high 17 points while Lindsay Haggerty scored 16 points to pace Wesleyan.
Wesleyan concludes a three-game homestand when they host Toccoa Falls College on Thursday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00pm at Porter Gymnasium and admission is free.
