Wesleyan Tennis Falls in Season Debut

Brunswick, Ga. - The Wesleyan College tennis team made its 2012 season debut on Friday when they travelled to the College of Coastal Georgia, losing the match by a score of 6-3.

"Coastal College is a NAIA school with full scholarship Division I level players from around the world," remarked first year head coach Tom Bates. "This was our first match and we worked very hard and never quit.  For four of our players, this was their first collegiate tennis match, so overall, I thought we put together a good showing."

The tennis team returns to the courts on Wednesday when they travel to Atlanta to square off against Oglethorpe University
