MACON, Ga. - Wesleyan volleyball racked up 21 services aces but fell 3-1 to Truett-McConnell at Porter Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The match was notable for both programs as the 21 aces are the most in a match for the Pioneers since re-instituting the sport three years ago and the Bears claimed the first win in school history.
Gabriela Silber notched a current era record seven aces for Wesleyan (0-2) while Alaina Avera added six of her own. Francie Galbraith narrowly missed a double-double finishing with 11 digs and nine assists. Liz Norton piled up 16 kills to go with four solo blocks for the Bears (1-2).
Wesleyan faces middle Georgia rival Fort Valley State on Monday. First serve is scheduled for 7:00pm.
