Cross Country Completes GSAC Tune-Up at Oglethorpe Classic

ATLANTA, Ga. - Christina Mayfield posted a top-25 finish to help lead Wesleyan College past Great South Athletic Conference rivals LaGrange and Spelman at the 2011 Oglethorpe Classic.

The Pioneers finished sixth overall and held a nine-point advantage over the Jaguars and 41-point spread over the Panthers. Mayfield placed 24th overall, covering the 5K course in 23:25.33. Maria Vasquez (27th), Kaitlyn Rentz (40th), Sable Phillips (44th), Aditi Dey (51st) and Christin Daniels (57th) competed for Wesleyan.

Wesleyan will take a week off before finishing off the 2011 season at the GSAC Championship on October 29.
