Scots Overpower Wesleyan Soccer

Lookout Mountain, Ga. - Great South Athletic Conference newcomer Covenant College gave Wesleyan all it could handle on the pitch on Tuesday evening, defeating the Pioneers by a score of 8-0.

Wesleyan's offense that had been so prolific in the previous two matches was held in check as the Scots allowed only one Pioneer shot on goal all game.  Freshman goalkeeper Abby Stephens recorded nine saves in the effort.

The Scots were paced by Teagan Wood, Dana Streufert and Eliza Drew, who each scored two goals a piece.

Wesleyan wraps up its regular season schedule on Saturday when they travel to LaGrange College.  Kick off is at 5:00pm.
