Wesleyan Cross Country Out-Paces Conference Foes

MARIETTA, Ga. - Wesleyan College cross country placed two runners in the top-20 to finish third at the Southern Collegiate Challenge.

The Pioneers out-paced conference rivals Spelman College and LaGrange College to post their best finish of the season. Christina Mayfield led the Pioneers, placing 15th overall while Turhonda Williams claimed the 20th position.

Maria Vazquez (26th), Azea Mustafa (29th), Kaitlyn Rentz (32nd), Sable Phillips (36th), Aditi Dey (41st) and Christin Daniel (51st) rounded out the Wesleyan squad.

Wesleyan is back on the course next weekend at the Oglethorpe Invitational, the team's final tune-up before the conference championship.
